Loomes book (Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World 21st century edition does list a maker - "Livingstone A. Manchester late 19c?" Our book about Greater Manchester makers does not list him. That is all I can find without a christian name.

Hi Thanks for your reply. The Case was made by "John Harris, Hertford Place, Coventry." Dated 1890 (no Duty Mark), The Mechanism is Fusee but is enclosed with neither maker nor number evident. The face has the legend " A. Livingstone Manchester " Would appreciate a copy of the full entry in Loome's book. As you say nothing in the Manchester listings or any book in the Manchester City Library.
